Chile Scanning Movie

This page demonstrates the Chile observing strategy. Observations are confined to constant elevation scans (CES) that are along the concentric circles in the movie. We have plotted circles at 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 observing elevations and outlined the range of sky visible with the 45-degree minimum observing elevation.
The green outline shows an approximate position of the SAT deep patch at the center of the Southern hole as defined by the dust and synchrotron polarization in the Planck sky model. The field is too far from the zenith to be scanned at 60 or 65 degrees.
